Following the launch of our campaign measure in June – we recently held an event with our advertiser and agency community to discuss our wider ECOzone programme. With accountability and transparency at its core, this series of initiatives focuses on the development of our carbon reduction and reporting activities.
Held at the EVERYMAN Borough Yards, and attended by almost 70 agency and advertiser connections, this launch session was hosted by Ozone’s Chief Revenue Officer, Craig Tuck. The event was split into three parts, with the first being a presentation by Matt Townsend – our Director of Product – and Emma Cranston – our Client Services Director – focusing on how the ECOzone initiative has been driven by these key accountability and transparency principles. Matt’s presentation focused on four key strands of carbon reduction work that have been carried out by our product and engineering team, while Emma gave a deeper view of why we created the measure and the work we’ve done to get this first iteration of the metric live.
Following that, Craig took to the stage with Matt, Emma and Dora Michail-Clendinnen – Ozone’s Chief Strategy Officer – to ask them some of the questions that our clients have posed to us since launching the measure in June. We also invited questions from the audience.
And finally – and this was a real privilege and a conversation full of insights – Dora chaired a discussion focused on good sustainability action in practice with two industry leaders. We were very lucky to welcome Ruth Sterry, Planning Business Director at MG OMD – representing her client giffgaff – alongside Elle Chartres, UK director for Ad Net Zero – our industry’s response to the climate crisis.
