Studiozone creative lead Gwen Glynn reflects on an important moment for Ozone’s in-house creative team – the team’s one-year anniversary. In this post, Gwen discusses Studiozone’s ‘best bits’ since the October 2023 launch
It’s hard to believe that in a little over six weeks time, we’ll be celebrating a year since we launched Studiozone, our in-house creative team. Since day one, our focus has been on creating the most engaging ad solutions for the Premium Web – be it to demonstrate our team’s capabilities or to get your campaigns up, running and performing.
We did some number crunching recently and the results showed almost half of all campaign spend running through Ozone’s Managed Service offering was worked on by the Studiozone team. To say it’s been busy is an understatement, but at the same time, this has allowed us to experiment and get a firm grasp on best practice; both in terms of how we can work with you as our clients, and getting the very best out of the wide range of formats we have to bring your campaigns to life.
Engage readers with exciting new formats and features
When we talk about the Premium Web at Ozone, we’re thinking about those websites where consumers come to be informed and entertained – and where their attention is at its highest. Making the most of this engagement is critical for campaign success, and it’s why our Studiozone offering is such an important addition to the unique and rich first-party insights we’ve been sharing with you since Ozone’s launch.
So what’s new? Well, at the start of the year we launched our new Video Wrap format that allows your video content to be flexibly framed – however you want it – with consistently displayed brand assets or promotional offerings. It’s already proving to be an incredibly popular addition to our campaign toolkit, having been used by P&O Ferries, Frozen, Jet2, Lego and EE to name just a few. As one of our most feature rich formats, we have been adding even more interactivity features such as those seen in this Princess Peach example.
And most importantly, it really works. One of our early adopting, repeat users of the format has seen engagment rates on their Video Wrap creative more than 80% above industry outstream VTRs.
Another new feature is the ability to include a quiz element in your Ozone campaign. That’s right, get your customers engaging and playing with your ads on the page. We can adapt this feature to run polls or conversations – it’s definitely got the flexibility to meet many different campaign objectives. Have a look here at the brilliant execution of this feature by our friends at TUI.
The creative opportunity in the golden quarter
Our attention is now firmly turning to Q4 and creating the most wonderful ads for the most wonderful time of the year. Given the heavy investment many brands place in their ads during this period, we’d definitely recommend reaching out early to your Ozone reps to discuss how we can maximise the seasonal impact of your campaigns. From our side, we’ve expanded our in-house team to make sure we are well equipped to meet your needs over the next few months.
In order to whet the creative juices, we’ve selected four feature-rich campaigns that we’ve worked on in 2024. Have a scroll through the carousel below where you’ll Virgin Money’s skin featuring a distinct and impactful video background, KFC’s finger-swiping good wipeaway scroller and a reveal skin for the Stranger Things theatre show. You’ll also find a scroller and skin for PwC, which is a great example of how we brought life to a static creative execution to ensure the ad experience reflected the rich web experience on the firm’s website.
There are always ways to push the boundaries more – simply get in touch with any member of the Ozone team and let’s get creative.

Getting the most out of your Studiozone experience
Having now worked on hundreds of campaigns with our customers, we have created a best practice process to ensure we get your creatives approved and running as soon as possible.
- For campaign budgets £25k gross or more, we provide one creative build free-of-charge – this must be received within the Studiozone template.
- For campaigns with budgets of £50k gross or more, we offer full production and design on one creative build. Where possible it is always recommended to use the Studiozone template if a speedy turnaround is required, and when this is the case we allow for two creative builds.
- We provide a paid for service for campaigns outside of these budgets.
- Kick off calls are required for more complex builds, or for full design and production creatives to ensure we are aligned with your requirements.
- We offer two rounds of amends per campaign, chargeable thereafter.
