From the Six Nations and the Super Bowl to London Fashion Week and Mother’s Day, power your premium web plans with our first-party data.
From Planning ahead for 2024 with Reading the Nation, our third annual guide to what our UK-wide audience – of more than 40m online consumers – is reading about every month, we’ve handpicked a selection of events in February and March to fuel your planning and activations strategies in the next two months.
Fashionable Feb’s a style icon
Feb’s fashion favourites
Paris, New York, London, Milan. The world’s fashion capitals will throb to the beat of models’ feet as they pound the catwalks to showcase the hottest haute couture and new season’s style in February. As an annual fixture for fashionistas, expect fans of the four fashion majors to pour over our influential editorial and coverage of the latest clothing trends.
In February 2023, 90m Style & Fashion page views increased by a sixth month on month.
Special occasions
Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day are upcoming special occasions where reader engagement with content about spoiling loved ones (or oneself!) will grow. With gift inspiration and celebratory planning high on the agenda, editorial from across our premium publishers is perfectly poised to help with decision making.
Typically, interest in Flower Shopping will bloom in February by almost four-fifths and then again by almost half in March, while reader engagement with Beauty and Women’s Fashion will also grow.
The Six Nations
Kicking off on Friday, 2 February, the Six Nations will drive Rugby content page views throughout the championships until a winner is crowned on Saturday, 16 March. Interest is set to be exceptionally high in 2024 after the success of last year’s Rugby World Cup in France. Expect the launch of ‘Six Nations Full Contact’, a new Netflix documentary series about the 2023 tournament, to also boost interest.
In 2023, reader engagement with Rugby content across Ozone was more than 50% higher in February and March vs. the two months prior, which included Autumn international fixtures.
Super Bowl LVIII
The National Football League’s biggest game – the Super Bowl – takes place on Sunday, 11 February. The 57th NFL championship decider is hosted for the first time by Las Vegas, Nevada. For the second year, British fans of the United State’s fumbled interpretation of ‘football’ can watch the game live – and for free – on commercial broadcaster ITV.
Typically, weekly reader engagement with American Football content grows by more than half when the Super Bowl takes place.
March – Spring marches into focus
ISA season
With health wealth a key focus for millions of Brits in the year’s first quarter, March will typically increase reader engagement with our Personal Finance category.
On average in the past three years, monthly page views for the content have increased by a quarter. The end of the tax year in early April continues to drive interest in ISA season and is normally a key driver for topics, including Personal Investing and Saving, which can be expected to grow by 25% and two-fifths respectively.
The Cheltenham Festival
There’s nothing like a day at the races or four to bolster interest in Horse Racing content across our premium publisher portfolio. From detailed racecards and form guides to expert tips on the hot favourite to back in the Gold Cup, expect coverage of the Cheltenham Festival to increase reader engagement with the sport.
Based on what we’ve seen in the past three years, expect monthly page views Horse Racing to grow by more than 3.5 times in March.
