The new frontiers in premium publishing

Agenda

As AI and automation change how content is accessed and consumed, new frontiers are opening up for premium publishers – from navigating growing bot consumption to continuing to build and monetise valuable audiences.

For the first time, CTRL moves to a new afternoon-to-evening format, bringing together industry leaders and Ozone specialists to explore this changing landscape and what’s coming next – including an exclusive first look at a new Ozone capability for publishers.

Welcome

Dipti Patel, Senior Publisher Development Director, Ozone

Transparency and control: requirements for a functioning AI knowledge economy

Alex Springer, Technical Lead at The SPUR Coalition, will share practical steps publishers can take to establish rights and access controls around their content and participate in the thriving knowledge economy.

Alex will unpack where new opportunities lie as content licensing and AI-driven use cases evolve and bring publishers up to speed on the policy and coalition work shaping what’s next.

Protecting publisher inventory value in an increasingly automated web

As AI agents increasingly interact with publisher websites, understanding who or what is behind each interaction, whether it can be trusted and how it should be managed is becoming essential. How can publishers distinguish trusted AI agents from malicious automation while protecting the value of their advertising inventory?

Led by Gabriel Cirlig, Director of Threat Intelligence from HUMAN Security, this session will explore what traffic quality really means in the age of agentic AI, how publishers can demonstrate that quality to buyers, and how to distinguish between legitimate AI agents and malicious automation.

What’s next: new intelligence and tools for publishers

To close, the Ozone team will look ahead to what’s next for premium publishing, sharing a first look at new research and publisher tools launching soon – and the opportunities they could unlock for publishers.
