Ozone’s awards partnerships put great work in the spotlight

We celebrated as headline sponsors for the inaugural Brand Leadership & Partnership Awards from Campaign, as well as the 2022 Marketing Week Awards.

The past week has been another one for celebrating award wins. But this time it was the Ozone team doing the cheering for the brilliant entries from advertisers and agencies across the UK in two of the industry’s most prestigious awards.

First up was the Campaign Brand Leadership & Partnership awards championing the very best in agency and advertiser collaboration. The winners were announced at a lunchtime ceremony at Grosvenor House, and followed an intense judging period led by the chair of the judges, Dame Carolyn McCall.

Among the big winners on the day were ITV and MediaCom each picking up three awards, with the broadcaster’s ‘Concert for Ukraine in partnership with the DEC picking up all three gongs, including Brand of the Year. Other notable successes included McCann Manchester and FCB Inferno picking up two awards each, while Claire Sadler from the British Heart Foundation was lauded as Breakthrough CEO of the Year.

Ozone CRO and awards judge, Craig Tuck said, “Having had the privilege to read many of the entries, I can honestly say the standard of work presented was nothing short of excellent, and every winner clearly demonstrated brilliant results delivered through great collaboration. It was this focus on collaboration that drove Ozone’s involvement with these awards. As a business built on unprecedented publisher partnership, we know only too well the huge value that can be created through great partnerships. And it’s only right that we celebrate these across the industry.”

These awards were followed by the more established Marketing Week Awards 2022, one of the most coveted award wins for brand teams and their partners. With a judging panel of ‘who’s who’ in marketing, the whittling down of the successful campaigns was led by Russell Parsons, editor-in-chief at Marketing Week.

With a glitzy ceremony taking place at The Londoner, it was down to fresh-from-Strictly comedienne, Jayde Adams, to do the honours and announce the winners. Picking up the coveted Grand Prix award – plus three others for Retail, eCommerce and Segmentation – was home improvement retailer, Wickes. Other big winners included Starling Bank, Heinz, CALM and Aldi – who were named Brand of the Year – and NatWest Group’s CMO Margaret Jobling who was crowned Marketer of the Year.

The Marketing Week Awards in partnership with Ozone

In addition to our headline partnership, Ozone sponsored a number of special awards including Long Term Brand Building Excellence won by KFC, and Marketing Team of the Year presented to TUI by our client director Sophie Raptis.

Bryan Scott, Ozone’s marketing director and 2022 judge said, “The calibre of entries in these awards was outstanding and the depth of proof points certainly demonstrated the levels of robustness to what we do as an industry. Every single winner was incredibly well deserved and as a sponsor, Ozone was delighted to be associated with some of the best work our sector has delivered over the past year.”
