Ozone is 'Media Brand the Year' 2020

Bryan Scott, Ozone’s Marketing Communications Director takes a look at Ozone’s success in 2020’s industry awards…

Everyone loves a bit of recognition, and with 2019 being our first full year in existence, it has been wonderful to see the progress we’ve made reflected in a number of wins and shortlists in our industry’s awards.

Thursday 15th October 2020

As the marketing, media and advertising awards season heads towards a close, today we are ecstatically celebrating on what will forever be known as Thrilling Thursday in the world of Ozone. We kicked off the afternoon at the AOP Digital Publishing Awards where we were thrilled to pick up the accolade for Best Digital Publishing Innovation. We also cheered on from the wings as our partners at Beeswax picked up the award for Best Media Technology Partner for the work they do with Ozone.

With the AOP awards in full swing, we booted up our dual screen to catch up with day two of the Media Week Awards where we were shortlisted for Media Brand of the Year alongside Twitter, Spotify, Culture Trip and Mail Metro Media. We were absolutely over the moon to be announced as the 2020 winner of this award - watch the moment we were named winners on the video below:

Our first ever award came courtesy of The Drum’s Digital Advertising Awards Europe, where we picked up the top prize for Best Publisher Innovation. The very same month, The Drum announced Ozone as a finalist for Best Commercial Innovation in their Online Media Awards.

In the summer of 2020, our second win came from the Newsawards. Despite only being able to judge a small number of categories before lockdown, the judges had already decided on Ozone as International Digital Innovation of the Year - another gong for the shelf!

With most of this year’s traditional award ceremonies being postponed, we can’t wait to celebrate our successes when we’re all back together in the office.
