Hot on the heels of our announcement about the appointment of Angela Decube as our new Senior Agency Sales Partner, Angela talks to us about why she chose to join Ozone and link up with our rather exceptional and supremely talented commercial team…

Hi Angela, you joined Ozone from consumer magazine publisher Hearst, which is where you’ve spent the majority of your career. Straight out the gate, and appreciating you've only been here over a week, but what's your first impression of life at Ozone?

My first impression of life at Ozone is that it is about creating a culture and business that is full of passionate, friendly and intelligent people. You can really tell instantly that everyone is all working to the same goal and have each other's backs.

I have had the warmest welcome in my first week, and nothing is too much for anyone. Everyone has been really helpful and accommodating, which makes it really easy to approach anyone with any question (as they say, there is no such thing as a silly question).

There is also such a buzz around the future here at Ozone, with the growth and expanding team which is really exciting to be a part of.

As Senior Agency Sales Partner, you’ll be looking after Manning Gottlieb and OmniGOV. What’s your approach to looking after this agency patch? What do you do that might be different from others in your role (at Ozone or elsewhere)?

Having worked with publishing brands for over 16 years, I am really excited to utilise my knowledge of this market to introduce agencies and clients to Ozone’s unique proposition and raise the profile of Ozone even further.

I have always seen success when you can be helpful and valuable to agencies and clients, always applying a consultative approach - whether that be a new piece of insight, innovations or a quick response to brief. Agencies are so busy, so anything I can do to make their day easier is always a win.

I want to ensure that they get the best customer service and see Ozone as the go to media owner. Nothing is ever too much!

Knowing what you know about Ozone, what types of advertisers do you think our platform presents the biggest opportunity for?

With Ozone’s single point of access reaching 99% of the UK population every month, all within premium environments, I really do believe that there is a reason for all advertisers to be working with us - this is the beauty of Ozone, and one of the reasons that attracted me to working here.

The engaging content across the publisher groups that we work with is so diverse, ranging from entertainment, beauty, finance, automotive (and so much more!). Ozone is fueled by the amazing data & insight that it has access to and we can work with any advertiser to create the perfect advertising solution to meet their needs.

There really is something for everyone!

Looking ahead, six months from now, what would you like your key achievements of working at Ozone be?

I would like to be well versed in the Ozone way, products and formats where it just rolls off the tongue and at a point where I have been effectively raising the profile of Ozone to new and current advertisers.

I hope that my experience brings new ideas and different ways of thinking, to add value to the wider team and the business.

I would also like to be making headway with new business from my patch - whether that be a brief (or even better a booking).

And finally, beyond your exceptional client servicing experience, what other special talents are you planning to bring to the Ozone party?
