Reading the Nation: 7 days to Sunday 23rd of May

Thanks to our reach of over 99% of the UK’s online population, Ozone’s single user view of content consumption provides unrivalled insights to the stories that matter to our readers all across the UK.

As such, we bring you Reading the Nation with The Ozone Project, a new weekly insight-driven overview into the content and topics that are catching light among our highly attentive, frequently returning readers.

This week's Reading the Nation: the 7 days to 23rd May focuses on the performance of our Music & Audio content, as on Saturday 22nd May the Eurovision Song Contest and Glastonbury: Live at Worthy Farm both took place to amp up engagement with the category.

In the 7 days to Sunday 23rd May we saw:

  • Music & Audio was the best performing content category across the Ozone platform, as unique users and page views grew by a massive +70% and 56% week on week respectively

  • Engagement grew significantly over the weekend when the two events took place; 2.1m page views on Saturday and Sunday was +9% higher than the weekday total

  • Elsewhere, last week’s reopening of cinemas drove engagement with our Movies content as page views increased +18% week on week to 5.3m
