Ozone nominated for prestigious INMA award

The International News Media Association (INMA) – a leading provider of global best practices for news media companies to help them grow revenue, audience and brand – has named The Ozone Project as a finalist in its 2022 INMA Global Media Awards.

Ozone will battle it out at the prestigious awards in the Best Idea to Grow Advertising Sales category alongside international groups, including Times of India publisher Bennett, Coleman & Company, the Polish and Serbian divisions of Ringier Axel Springer Media AG and News Zealand’s Stuff Limited.

The nomination not only recognises Ozone’s foundation – itself an historic collaboration between our founding publishers News UK, The Guardian, The Telegraph and Reach PLC – but also the results the business has delivered in our first three years, including:

  • Ad revenue growth of +75% year on year in 2021, up six-fold since 2019 and 3x the rate of growth of the total online display market in the UK

  • Increased advertiser count by +75% year on year (to 250+) with 137 brands live across the platform in Q4 alone

  • Allowed brands to invest in a way that works for them; 55% of revenue comes through Managed Service; 10% through programmatic deals; 35% through marketplace connections

  • Delivered results for advertisers. Across 164 measured campaigns, we delivered an +8% Brand Lift

  • All while delivering great customer service - most recent net promoter score was +60
